Peter Swales’s thesis is that Freud finds himself everywhere. Swales demonstrates this from his meticulously researched historical findings on Freud’s ‘Signorelli’ slip, ‘Screen Memories’, the two dream books, The Psychopathology of Everyday Life, and ‘The “Moses” of Michelangelo’. No-one concerned with Heidegger’s critique of ‘empathy’ can afford to miss this seminar.
